The dictionary meaning of blister is 'a small bubble on the skin filled with serum and caused by friction.' The dermatologist prescribes many medications but it's time to burst the bubble with help of some natural treatments.

The reason may be any but there are many natural remedies to get rid of it. In this article, we will discuss few home remedies that can help you to get rid of blisters.

1. Salt

Salt is efficient enough to do multi-tasking and apart from flavoring the food, its anti-bacterial nature helps to fight against blisters, thereby reducing the inflammation and pain caused by it. Besides this, as per the Salt Institute, it has over 14,000 other uses.

Usage

  • Add one teaspoon of salt in one cup of warm water.

2. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is proven to be an effective traditional medicine which can even heal second and third-degree burns, making it the best remedy for blisters. Its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties can help to reduce the redness and swelling that cause pain.

Usage

  • Mix one teaspoon of Aloe Vera gel with one teaspoon of Vitamin E oil.
  • Apply a small amount of obtained mixture on the blister.
  • Let it remain there until it gets dry.
  • Wash it off with cold water.
  • Repeat this process for two to three times a day for six days to obtain the desired results.

3. Turmeric

Turmeric is so useful to treat many skin diseases that it should be readily available in every household. Turmeric is known for its powerful anti-inflammatory properties is suitable for skin conditions like blisters.

A compound called curcumin resides in turmeric which has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. This compound works by preventing the pro-inflammatory cytokines from triggering the process of inflammation.

Usage
